The Art Conservation Department at the University of Delaware is considered to be one of the world's best programs. Its graduates work at important museums, institutions and conservation centers. The faculty are involved in on-going essential conservation efforts.
Their desire to communicate with the world through their web page goes beyond typical marketing efforts. Hurricane Katrina's devastating impact on cultural artifacts was a call to action for the Art Conservation Department students and faculty. Within a month, they sent an emergency team to stablize two major collections in the area. However, they did not have place on their website to update the public during this touch and go critical time.
We were able to provide them with a website that they could update on their own with a custom content management system. We also created a flexible home page that allows them to highlight news, jobs or events.
The completely redesigned and rebuilt website allows them to highlight their ground-beaking and essential contributions to the conservation and preservation world, and to allow prospective students to find the information they need to make a choice on their future education.
